DGather Data Gathering System

DGather is an IoT‑oriented data‑acquisition software. It collects data from automation systems and field instruments via multiple protocols including Modbus (TCP/RTU/ASCII), OPC‑DA, OPC‑UA, MQTT and Siemens S7‑protocol. Collected data can be forwarded to MQTT brokers, relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server and domestic‑made databases), time‑series databases (e.g. InfluxDB), as well as real‑time databases such as the domestic Gengdun real‑time database.

DGather adopts the swinging‑door compression algorithm. It supports data forwarding with compressed payloads or transparent transmission of raw real‑time sampled data. In the event of a broken connection to the destination data sink, the software buffers cached data and resumes transmission automatically once the communication link recovers.
Cross‑platform compatible with Windows, Linux and macOS, DGather runs on CPU instruction‑set architectures such as x86, AMD64 and ARM. It is well‑suited for single‑board miniature computers like the Raspberry Pi and supports rapid deployment via Docker containers. The software is optimised for edge‑side data acquisition and IoT‑related projects.
No licence is required for deployments with 32 or fewer data‑acquisition points. There are no upper‑limits on forwarding‑point quantity for unrestricted‑free usage.
