The concentrator is equipped with 24 pump boxes requiring liquid‑level control. Each pump box is fitted with one slurry pump equipped with a frequency converter. The frequency converter communicates with the liquid‑level‑control PLC via Profinet.
Control Requirements
1. One radar level gauge shall be mounted on every pump box to measure the liquid‑level height inside the tank.
2. A red audible‑visual alarm shall be installed beside each pump box. The alarm will be triggered when the radar level gauge detects excessively high or low liquid‑level values. Acknowledge‑alarm buttons are available on the touch‑screen of the PLC control cabinet, allowing operators to manually reset the alarm.
3. The PLC control cabinets are arranged on the nearby operating platform close to each pump box. A touch‑screen is mounted on the cabinet door. Operators can check real‑time liquid‑level data, run the variable‑frequency slurry pumps, carry out start‑stop operations and adjust pump frequency through the human‑machine interface.
